Juris is currently serving as the General Manager of the newest casino, Golden Nugget Danville in Illinois. His responsibilities include the oversight of all casino operations including staffing, budgeting, capital planning, operating policies, marketing, and local, state and federal regulatory compliance.
Juris began his casino and hospitality career more than thirty years ago in Atlantic City, NJ with Resorts International, the first legalized casino outside Las Vegas, NV. From there, he managed casino properties in Nassau, Bahamas, Iowa, Illinois, Mississippi and Lousiana. His experience included hands-on design, pre-opening, recruiting and day-to-day manage-ment and oversight. Juris’ extensive casino background includes opening fourteen casinos, designing and developing seven, and managing fifteen, eight of which he also served as the Chief Operating Officer.
Previously Juris was the Senior Vice President and Assistant General Manager at del Lago Resort and Casino where he played a key leadership role in design, development, hiring, training, preopening and the ongoing operations of the $450 million Central NY Casino Resort. Juris rejoined Wilmorite Management Group in February of 2019.
